Christmas Family Shoot:// The Lord's

There is basically nothing better than editing Christmas pictures while listening to Christmas music. In my defense I waited until today...November 10th! That's pretty good for me :) As for this family...it doesn't get much cuter than these pictures! I love the way our "mini" shoot turned out!

The Caldwell Family

When we were out visiting Eric's family in Vernal over Labor Day weekend we took the opportunity of us all being together to snap some much needed family pictures. Thanks to the timer on the my camera and a tripod we were able to get a whole group picture. I've loved every minute I've spent with this amazing family since marrying into it and I'm grateful to be a part of it!

Big Cottonwood Canyon Shoot

This was my first photography session I've had since last fall and I'll be honest...I am a little rust. I had a lot of fun learning and working on my photography last summer, but since then I decided that I'll leave it up to the professionals until I can invest some money in better equipment and learn more about photography. However, my brother and his family still seem to have enough faith in me to keep asking me to do their family pictures even after many failed sessions in the past.

I wanted to do their family pictures with a little more wooded background and there is nothing like that out where I live so we headed to Cottonwood canyon. The weather was perfect right before the shoot and then shortly after starting it started to down poor. These guys were troopers and we had enough time to get a couple shots. Let me just say that I'm going to miss this cute family when they move away to California next month!

McKenzie Dean // Portraits

This was my first shoot since the fall and to be honest I felt a little rusty behind the camera. By the fall of last year it seemed like I had things a little more down to a science not to mention my wonderful assistant/sister who would join me on shoots before she moved away. It definitely helped to have a gorgeous girl in front of the camera that can't make a picture look back if she tried. Kenzie is graduating from the University of Utah in a few weeks and wanted to get some graduation shoots and some professional head shots. It was fun getting back into taking some pics and catching up with McKenzie! Congrats to all those graduates of 2013!
